Itinerary

*08:00

Start your day visiting two iconic architectural landmarks the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Central Post Office built between 1877 and 1883 by renowned designer Gustav Eiffel. From the cathedral, take a short stroll along Dong Khoi Street to the Opera House. From a bomb shelter to housing the Parliamentary Lower House, the Opera House has had an interesting history.

09:00:

Next, visit the Reunification Palace, once a symbol of the South Vietnamese Government. It was here on 30 April 1975, that the war ended when a North Vietnamese Army tank crashed through its gates. See the war room, the banquet hall, and the presidential office with the unusual gifts received.

11:00:

Continue on to the War Remnants Museum. Here, your guide will tell the story of the city’s darkest and most tragic hours during the Vietnam War. The museum contains displays of military aircraft, weaponry, and many photographs – some that are quite graphic in nature

12:00:

Have lunch try all famous local cuisines/food and all of the MUST-TRY dishes in Ho Chi Minh.

13:00:

Transfer to Cu Chi Underground tunnels for one and a half hour.

14:30:

Before entering the tunnels, visitors can watch a short introductory video showing how the tunnels were constructed. You will spend the next hour exploring the tunnels. Afterward, enjoy tea, and cassava (guerrilla’s food during the war). We will visit a network of 200 km long underground dug-out which was being used during the Vietnam – USA war. There is little evidence to indicate the intense fighting, bombing, and destruction that went on in Cu Chi during the war.

16:30:

End the tour. Return to your hotel in Ho Chi Minh Center.
