A 3D mammography with breast specialist consultation at a private hospital in Singapore or Australia can cost 2 to 4 times more than at FV Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City. International patients receive the same advanced imaging technology and specialist care, with English-language results, at a significantly lower cost. Sondax handles scheduling, transfers, and support in English so you can focus on your health.
This screening is designed for women without a history of breast cancer. All women should undergo a breast cancer risk assessment by age 25 to determine if they need to start regular screening earlier than age 40 and what type of screening is required. Clinical breast examinations are recommended every 1 to 3 years for women aged 25 to 39, and annually for women aged 40 and older. Women considered at higher-than-average risk because of family history, genetic tendency, or other factors should be screened earlier and may benefit from breast MRI in addition to mammography.
Digital Breast Tomosynthesis (3D Mammography) creates a three-dimensional image of the breast by taking multiple low-dose X-rays from different angles. Compared to standard 2D mammography, 3D mammography is more accurate at detecting small tumours, particularly in women with dense breast tissue. It also reduces the chance of being called back for false-positive results.
The Breast Specialist consultation includes a clinical examination and a review of your imaging results. If the mammography or clinical exam reveals anything that needs further evaluation, the specialist may recommend a Fast Breast MRI or additional imaging.
If you know or suspect you have dense breast tissue, FV Hospital also offers a dedicated Breast Cancer Screening for Dense Breasts, which adds a breast ultrasound to improve detection in dense tissue.
You check in at FV Hospital's Breast Care Centre. The 3D mammography takes approximately 15 to 20 minutes. A Breast Specialist then reviews your images and discusses findings with you in English. The entire visit is private and conducted in a comfortable, supportive setting. All communication is available in English, with interpretation offered on request in French, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese.
The following add-on can be booked alongside this screening (price converted from FV's VND pricing at approximately 27,000 VND per USD, rounded up):
The add-on price above is converted from Vietnamese dong at approximately 27,000 VND per USD and rounded up to the nearest dollar; the exact amount charged follows FV Hospital's official VND pricing at the time of your visit. All prices are per person and subject to change without prior notice. For non-menopausal women, the best time to perform mammography is the second week of your menstrual cycle.
