Request a custom tourOur own team plans and runs these tours, so the person who answers your email is the person arranging your day, and a change of plan while you are here takes one phone call.
The same team also runs the airport fast track, the private transfers and the cooking classes on this site, so if a flight moves there is one number to call.
Ten to fourteen days is the usual answer for a first visit taking in the north, the centre and the south without living on internal flights. A week covers one region properly, usually the north. Under five days, pick one city and what is around it rather than a route.
Two things move the price: how many nights, and the standard of the hotels. A private tour with your own guide and car costs more per day than a group departure, and earns it on a short trip, where the hours lost to logistics are the expensive part. Every tour here shows its own price and what that price does and does not cover.
Vietnam is long enough that no single month suits all of it. March to April and September to November are comfortable almost everywhere; the north is cold and misty from December to February, and the centre takes its rain from September to November. Our guide to the best time to visit Vietnam breaks it down region by region.
Most nationalities do. An e-visa is applied for online and covers 90 days; some passports get an exemption of 15 to 45 days instead. See how to get an e-visa and the exemption list, or tell us your passport when you book and we will confirm which applies.
Both, and each tour says which on its own page. A private tour is your party only, with your own guide and car, and can be moved around while you are here. A group departure is cheaper and runs to a fixed plan.
Accommodation, the meals listed in the itinerary, an English-speaking guide, all transfers and entrance fees, and internal flights where the route needs them. International flights, visas, drinks and tips are not included. Each tour page lists both sides in full.
Two to three months for travel between October and April, which is the busy half of the year. A few weeks is usually enough outside that. Tet, in late January or February, fills up further ahead than anything else.
No. A 20% deposit holds your dates and the rest is paid when you arrive in Vietnam. You can also send a request without paying anything, and a consultant in our Hanoi office will reply within 24 working hours.
Yes, and it is the same team. Fast track at immigration, a driver holding a name board, and a private car to the hotel can all be added to any tour, or booked on their own if you are not taking a tour at all.
Fast track at the airport, a car for the afternoon, a cooking class, or three weeks from the Mekong Delta to Sapa. One team in Hanoi arranges all of it, from your first message to the flight home.
